An art deco masterpiece built in 1933, The Georgian, and its renowned Speakeasy, was a favorite haunt for such famous - and infamous - personalities as Carol Lombard, Clark Gable, "Fatty" Arbuckle, and Bugsy Siegel. Ongoing multi-million dollar renovation projects and a strategic public relations campaign have ensured that the grandeur of this treasure by the sea has been faithfully maintained. Not only does CIIC work with travel trades throughout the country and in Europe to provide information on the Georgian, but we also coordinate many events. Our 65 year anniversary 'period costume party' event brought swarms of media reps to the Georgian's doors. Our New York City reception was also well attended, by media and Art Deco Society members alike. |
