Danna Banana (aka Dan Cohen) is an exciting new singer/songwriter whose two CDs, Bananappeal and Daddy-O! have won rave reviews from parents and children alike. With training from BMI's famous Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop in New York and a Grand Prize Winning Song in the prestigious John Lennon Songwriting Contest (What Would You Do?), Danna Banana is poised to become a major force in the children's music scene. An experienced writer for stage, television and print, Cohen's writing has appeared in publications ranging from High Country News to San Francisco Weekly, and he has penned scripts for videos and documentaries. He wrote and performed "Lee Nashville and Felicity," a country music-comedy act, at New York venues La Mama, Dixon Place, Don't Tell Mama and Gusto House and his "Jackie Sapphire" character performed on tour with Jim Turner (HBO's Arli$$) at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. |
