CIIC Takes on Cabo in 48 Hours

Recently, CIIC Account Executive Paola Cuevas hosted several journalists on an exciting tour of Los Cabos, Mexico that included amazing adventures - including sightseeing, cooking classes, concerts and the first Cabo Comedy Festival - all within a four-day span. Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Resort & Spa, a luxury all-inclusive property located by the beach in Cabo San Lucas, acted as the host hotel. After arriving in the early evening on Thursday, the journalists had time for a site inspection of Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach resort & Spa and later enjoyed a delicious Mexican dinner with signature margaritas at the resort’s Frida Restaurant.

Friday’s busy schedule kicked off with a sea and snorkel adventure by the well-known tour and activity operator, Cabo Adventures.

After snorkeling and boat trip around must-see natural wonders, everyone returned to Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach where they enjoyed delicious fish tacos by the pool and explored the property. Then it was off to visit Esperanza, An Auberge Resort, a resort retreat located just outside the city of Cabo San Lucas.

After a tour of the property, dinner was held at Esperanza’s Cocina del Mar restaurant, which is known for it’s fresh ingredients and seafood dishes.

Later that evening, Paola and the journalists traveled to Desperados Restaurant & Cantina for the 9 pm show of “The Stand Takeover” for the Cabo Comedy Festival. The festival ran from October 2-6 and featured comedians, panels with comedy writers & producers, and a talent competition.

Saturday started with a trip to Huerta Los Tamarindos, an organic farm and restaurant in San Jose del Cabo. As part of their tour, the group took a cooking class and had a delicious organic lunch.

Next it was time to visit the new boutique property, Hotel El Ganzo which is located in the Puerto Los Cabos Marina. The El Ganzo tour included a site inspection and down time for everyone to relax at the exclusive beach club. After hydrating with some refreshing coconut water and handmade guacamole, the group went shopping and took a tour in downtown San Jose del Cabo. Here the group learned about the history of San Jose del Cabo and the tour guide took them for a stroll through the renowned art galleries section before returning to El Ganzo for a farewell dinner at their Downstairs Restaurant.

The final night in Cabo capped with an optional return to the Cabo Comedy Festival for the “Comics of Chelsea Lately” at the Hard Rock Café Cabo San Lucas. While it was a busy few days, CIIC was able to showcase many of the exciting sights and activities that Cabo has to offer.
