CIIC Honored by Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International with 7 Adrian Awards
As the year comes to an end, we are pleased to share great news that we recently received seven 2013 Adrian Awards from Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) regarding several campaigns we worked on this year on behalf of our clients. Now in its 57th year, the HSMAI competition has evolved into the world’s most renowned and prestigious advertising, public relations & digital marketing challenge specifically tailored for the hospitality, travel and tourism industries; and our team here at CIIC was very excited to learn that we will be honored at the HSMAI Adrian Awards Dinner Reception and Gala on February 24, 2014 with seven awards on behalf of three clients – the Los Cabos Tourism Board, Solmar Hotels & Resorts and Hotel BPM.
Earlier this year, on behalf of our client the Los Cabos Tourism Board, we coordinated a large-scale co-branded consumer event at The Grove Los Angeles with luxury flip-flop retailer Havaianas and coined the event #FlipForCabo.This initiative will be awarded a Gold Adrian Award in the Special Event Category. Additionally on behalf of the Los Cabos Tourism Board, we’ll be receiving another Gold Adrian Award in the single-entry category of Secured Feature Print Placement (Consumer) for a syndicated article coordinated by our team that appeared in 10 Modern Luxury publications reaching over 2.5 million US consumers, as well as a Bronze award in the same category for a USA Today article telling the tale of two “Cabos” to over 6.75 million readers also for our teams efforts.
Another partnership formed this past year included our team linking our client, Solmar Hotels & Resorts, – a five property resort group based in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico – with Henri Bendel – a luxury department store with 26 locations across the United States – for a social media and in-store promotion just in time for the hotel group’s newest property’s 2nd Anniversary and Henri Bendel’s Birthday. This relationship will be awarded a bronze Adrian Award in the category of Partnership with a Major Brand. The Solmar account team’s work also garnered a Silver award in the single-entry Secured Feature Print Placement (Consumer) category for an article published by Canada’s Sun Media in five of their print outlets reaching an audience of over 1.7 million in Solmar’s second largest target market.
Last but not least, the teams amazing efforts on behalf of Brooklyn’s Hotel BPM will be awarded a Silver Adrian Award in the single-entry Feature Placement Print (Trade) for their work securing an interview with founder – DJ BIjal – and Lodging Magazine which was published and shared with 40,000 + readers, as well as a bronze award in the single-entry category of Feature Placement Print (Consumer) for an article coordinated with top Canadian newspaper, The Globe & Mail reaching over 300,000 readers.
