CIIC Attends New York Times Travel Show on Behalf of Mexico's Sun Triangle Destinations
CIIC Account Manager, Rose Capasso and Account Coordinator, Paola Cuevas attended the New York Times Travel Show on January 18-20 on behalf of the Sun Triangle destinations - Acapulco, Ixtapa- Zihuatanejo and Taxco - as part of the Mexico Tourism Board pavilion. The Mexico Tourism Board pavilion was a favorite among trade show attendees as it featured mariachis, an inauguration reception, mezcal tasting and a special roulette giveaway, where participants could win stays at incredible hotels throughout Mexico. From Acapulco, beautiful properties such as the Fairmont Pierre Marques, the Banyan Tree Cabo Marques and the Hotel Elcano provided free hotel stays to three lucky winners.
The New York Times Travel Show attracts over 20,000 attendees each year; both consumer as well as trade. Last year, the show hosted 577 exhibitors representing over 150 nations throughout the world and generating over 185 million impressions, a value of $2.3 million dollars.
