The Food & Shops at LaGuardia Airport

LG_CS_lg The Food & Shops at LaGuardia Airport’s Central Terminal Building (one of NYC’s busiest airports) offers travelers a mix of national, regional and local retail and dining options. The largest, as well as the oldest of LaGuardia’s four terminals, the Central Terminal Building sees over 11-million visitors pass through its doors a year.

After 2001, the air travel industry was faced with many obstacles. With heightened security and strict travel guidelines (that seem to change frequently), as well as increased consumer demand for ‘ease of travel,’ the Food & Shops saw the need to launch an aggressive consumer awareness campaign that would keep LaGuardia’s savvy business and leisure travelers ‘in the know’ in regard to what the terminal offers and educate them on how to travel safely and efficiently through the airport.

By enhancing the Food & Shops’ existing marketing program, CIIC’s strategic PR campaign focused on the promotion of the Food & Shops’ tenants and offerings through strategic media placements and programs such as the launch of the Food & Shops’ new consumer website to increase visibility and awareness of the Food & Shops brand among both consumers and media.
