Original Soupman

OSM_lg Al Yeganeh, founder of the “Soup Kitchen International” restaurant, located at Eight Avenue and 55th Street in New York City, has been producing premium, gourmet soups for a loyal following of devotees since 1984. His persona, as well as his soup abruptly went international with the 1995 airing of the famous “soup” episode of “Seinfeld”, which featured a character based on Mr. Yeganeh.

To launch their national franchise program along with new retail line of premium “heat-and-serve” soups, The Original Soupman, Mr. Yeganeh and team sought out the services of food and beverage PR specialists, CIIC. After CIIC’s comprehensive media campaign which yielded coverage in top trade and consumer outlets combined with a calendar of strategically planned promotions and publicity events, The Original Soupman proceeded to open retail locations in 27 states (and counting) nationwide.
