An Earth-Friendly Farm-to-Fork Oasis in Costa Rica
As Earth Day approaches, we'd like to take this time to reflect on the impact tourism has in the world today and celebrate brands and companies leading the way towards more sustainable and mindful travel. La Senda organic farm is an integral part of Cala Luna Boutique Hotel & Villas' mission to create environmentally conscious experiences.
The sustainable farm is located about 12 minutes from the hotel and provides all produce used by Cala Luna as well as a unique, chef-led farm-to-table experience that teaches guests how to cultivate their own organic vegetables back at home. What makes La Senda sustainable? Their use of non-GMO seeds, their work with local farmers, their chemical-free approach to pesticides, and their respect for seasonality. The farm also houses the world's largest meditation labyrinth.
