CIIC Strikes Silver at 60th Annual HSMAI Adrian Awards
It’s not quite winter, it’s not quite spring – but it’s definitely awards season. And at the event publicists affectionately call the Oscars of PR, CIIC scored big. The agency was just honored with a silver award at the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International’s (HSMAI) 60th Annual Adrian Awards, for a Crisis Communications campaign we carried out for Los Cabos.
Our work for the Los Cabos Tourism Board was recognized with silver in the category of Crisis Communications for ‘Putting Cabo Back on the A-List’, after Los Cabos, Mexico was struck by Category 3-Hurricane Odile in September 2014. Once the destination’s physical recovery was underway, CIIC got to work. The strategic “good news” plan we carried out indeed put Los Cabos back on the map, scoring Cabo Comeback features in top U.S publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Harpers Bazaar, Golf Digest, Departures, Travel + Leisure and more, as well as an increase in travelers to the much talked about destination.
