Summer 2023: Meet Our Interns

This summer has been nothing short of memorable, especially for CIIC PR’s  summer Interns. We tailored their experiences to exemplify the power of experiential learning, mentorship and hands-on involvement with distinct projects on various accounts. As these young communication professionals wrap up their time with us, one thing is for certain: although their strengths are diverse, their determination to make their mark in the world of PR is powerful and developing at a rapid pace. We are happy to have played a part in the start of their career journey. Get to know more about these future PR stars below.

Meet Gabriela Merino, a student at Florida International University studying communications. She has always loved social media and content creation. When asked how she decided on her major, Gabriela said “I chose communications as my degree because I was intrigued by the complexities of the field. When I was offered the internship at CIIC PR, I couldn't turn it down. I have never worked with a group of women as inspiring and uplifting as those at this agency.”

Meet Angelica Cuddy. As a graduate from Rutgers University with a degree in journalism and media studies, Angelica is currently working towards earning her Master of Communication and Media. With prior interests in social media and influencer marketing, interning at CIIC has been her first experience in PR. “Over the course of my internship at CIIC, I have gained a variety of new skills which will definitely prepare me for my future career endeavors. I have loved working with all of the talented and encouraging women at this agency.”

Meet Chloë Sena. Chloë completed her undergraduate degree at The College of New Jersey, where she majored in communications, with marketing and women gender, and sexuality studies minors. She is now enrolled in the Master of Communication and Media Program at Rutgers University, with a focus in public relations. When asked about her experience working at the agency, Chloë said “throughout my time as an intern here at CIIC, I have gained valuable experience and knowledge in the field. I got to work one on one with various women in the company and express my creativity while working on various projects. I look forward to applying what I have learned here and hope to incorporate my passions into a career in public relations.”

These recent months have been a great opportunity for growth across our team. We have enjoyed working with Gaby, Angelica and Chloë throughout their internship at CIIC and thank them for all of their hard work and dedication. We wish them nothing but the best in all their future endeavors.

CIIC also offers internships throughout the year. This is not your typical desk job. Candidates will have the opportunity to be hands-on with all accounts and learn about the world of PR in a friendly, fast-paced, and creative atmosphere.
