Mastering Thought Leadership and Executive Visibility

CIIC PR had the great pleasure of attending marketer and meditation pro Tara Nolan’s master class on thought leadership and executive visibility, hosted by The PR Net. In the past few years, including thought leadership in our PR plans has been critical in propelling our clients’ brands forward. Further educating our team on the strategy for the coming new year is not only of timely interest; it is indefinitely of the essence.

CIIC PR takes thought leadership as a “no one-size-fits-all” approach. Many elements depend on the stature and makeup of your client. CIIC has brought leaders from the hospitality, food & beverage, lifestyle, and many more, endless opportunities to showcase them as important voices in their industry. Examples include podcasts, speakers on panels, and print and broadcast opportunities.

Our master class pro, Tara Nolan, is a conscious business consultant helping brands and individuals identify, harmonize and integrate their values with their ambitions for intentional growth. She presented her expertise in the increasingly crucial area of mastering executive profiling, as well as her best advice for improving a brand’s online presence.

“Our minds create our reality,” Tara comfortably iterated this mantra in a most accustomed manner, making it apparent she practices what she preaches. She began her masterclass with seven minutes of meditation, which involved envisioning the higher self achieving personal goals.

Further into the class, she explained why executive visibility is important from an internal standpoint and is an integral part of a healthy company culture. The right leadership strategy can not only boost your reputation among industry peers, but it can also connect you with the increasing number of consumers that want to hear from founders and leaders of brands they love.

Benefits of visibility:

  • Increased confidence motivating both leadership and inspiring junior staff

  • Opportunity for promotions, salary increases, access to/ creation of new projects

  • Earned media coverage adding ROI to you own bottom line

  • Attracting aligned opportunities from aligned places

  • Talent retention & attraction

  • Builds corporate culture & celebrates talent

  • Attracts prospective clients

  • Manage brand reputation

Content types for thought leadership opportunities:

  • Evergreen: blogs, press, podcasts

  • Short Form & snackable: IG, TikTok

  • Reactive: Culturally driven

  • Contributory: Lead generation tools, boards, awards shows, books

In order for executives to be perceived as authentic, businesses must identify their mantra, interests and values. The key is properly crafting the message to your specific audience. Tara left us with some food for thought: “In which way can your brand  pursue a narrative of universal relatability?”
